About You

You don’t back down from a challenge and you’re passionate about the web. You enjoy taking a primary role in researching, scoping, and overseeing the creation of high quality websites. You want to make a difference for progressive clients who are doing hard work to make the world better, and you enjoy working with a flexible and creative team to make it happen.

You have a background in website and/or technical project management. You must have excellent communication and prioritization skills, but you must also be comfortable working across multiple departments (designers, developers, UX specialists) while managing client expectations.

You have solid experience in leading the construction of live websites from inception to launch and experience in managing all digital life cycle tasks including:

  • Initial Discovery & Requirements Gathering
  • Functional requirements
  • UI/UX development
  • Creative design
  • Development
  • Testing
  • Deployment
  • Training

Your skill set includes but is not limited to:

  • Project Management Software (JIRA/Confluence, Basecamp, Microsoft Project, etc.)
  • Content Management Systems (WordPress, Drupal, Sitecore, etc.)
  • Search/SEO
  • CRM tools (Salesforce, Convio, Salsa, EveryAction)
  • Web analytics Platforms

No strict academic qualifications are required, but a BA/BS degree is desirable. PMP or other project management certification is desirable, but also not necessary.

As a Technical Project Manager with our team, you are responsible for:

Account Management 

  • Create and maintain project timelines that communicate tasks, milestones (client and internal team), and resource allocation
  • Maintain accurate project time logs
  • Manage multiple, diverse work projects simultaneously as required
  • Assist team in creating test plans and testing efforts
  • Review all deliverables produced by internal teams to confirm they meet project and/or client requirements
  • Manage project budget, resource utilization, and profitability
  • Report status to internal management

Communication

  • Serve as the day to day contact for your clients on all project delivery activities
  • Facilitate efficient team and client meetings
  • Schedule and coordinate development sprints as needed
  • Research and resolve issues or, when necessary, escalate issues to appropriate team member(s) for resolution with the client
  • Organize, communicate and manage resources concerning deliverable execution across disciplines, including marketing, user experience, design, and development.

Internal Management

  • Lead development team on strategy and a delivery
  • Seek to identify areas of improvement in the project process and share constructive recommendations with executive management
  • Mitigate team conflicts and promote effective internal communication

Client Service 

  • Manage client expectations and build long-term client relationships
  • Maintain a high level of understanding of client objectives and background
  • Deliver products that meet quality assurance standards
  • Find opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships
